Pop queen Tanya Singgh has brought to us the soulful single Woh beetey din after many songs like Janam kuch toh bolo, Chupke chupke, Baahon mein teri, Piya piya, Ankhiyan mila le and many more.

Tanya said, “It is because of my wish and motive of bringing back pop culture to the industry that I came up with Woh beetey din. The song’s look and feel was revitalized because this is the first time designer Nikhil Thampi has styled for a music video.”

Added Prem Raj Soni, who is directing a music video for the first time, “The song is so soothing that it will definitely touch everyone’s heart, and shooting with Tanya Singgh was an inspiring journey! Tanya also mentioned that this song is very close to her heart as it was composed by her father and the lyrics were given by her mother. Maybe that’s why she felt a strong connection with it when shooting for the song.”

Woh beetey din is a mixture of both modern and retro music. It also features Turkish superstar Ugur Gunes. The original composition is by Indipop 1970s pioneer Ajit Singh with lyrics by Gittanjali Singh and Music Production by Jeff Hunt. The song was released on T-Series’ YouTube channel. This is probably the first Indo-Turkish musical collaboration.

While little is known about Ugur, he is a superstar and an influential personality in Turkey. As he enjoys a huge female fan following in his country, he is all set to take over India with his upcoming Hindi music video.
