Varli Cook-Off Live Event Back With A Bang

Food-lovers in the greater New York area and beyond will be glad to know that the Varli Cook-Off Live event, named after its creator Varli Singh, is back after a pandemic hiatus and will be held in association with Martinsville Gardens, New Jersey, on Sunday, January 9, 2022.

The Celebrity Chef and James Beard Honoree, Chef Prasad Chirnomula, who, alongside Famed Restaurateur and Celebrity Chef KN Vinod and Restaurateur Vishal Bakshi, will judge the Varli Cook Off Live, 2022.

Chef Prasad has been featured in The New York Times for his work. They celebrated Chef Prasad’s cuisine as “unusual, exciting, and so varied that I am never bored”. The respected Rosengarten Report called him “the most exciting Indian Chef in the United States”.

Chef KN Vinod and his culinary approach has been celebrated by among others, The Washington Post, Washingtonian, The New York Times, India Abroad, Style Magazine, and Zagat.

His restaurants have played host to foreign dignitaries, presidents, and celebrities.

Restaurateur Vishal Bakshi has always been a pillar of support  to Varli, one call away for any kind of advice and help Varli has needed, a press release from the organizers said.

Competing Chefs will demonstrate their skills in crafting signature dishes, displaying the art of Indian cooking. The  Varli Cook Off winner will receive a VarliWare BBQ Grill/Sigri valued at $1000 and the runner up will receive a VarliWare Gift Hamper valued at $200.

The top four contestants and their creations will promote awareness about the mouth-watering Indian cuisine and its extraordinary culture, the press release said.

A fundraiser hosted by Diya Singh will be held during the event. A 100% of the proceeds from all VarliWare products sold will go to Cohen Children’s Medical Center, Long Island.

In addition, a special food and dessert tasting drive will also be conducted by VarliWare.

The winner and the runner-up will be announced on the same day.

Varli Singh who has been organizing this popular event, was born and raised across various parts of Asia and the Middle East, and learning about the eclectic cuisines was a part of her life, notes the press release.

However, her move to New York City was the start of her love affair with Indian cuisine, especially after witnessing the passion that world-renowned chefs had for perfecting their craft and the celebrity-like following they received for creating a great dining experience. It spurred Singh to develop a unique way to change the landscape of Indian food.

“The Varli Vision was born with a commitment to sensationalizing the cuisines she grew up loving and to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to appreciate all that these foods have to offer,” the press release said.

Singh, more popularly known as Varli, is a social influencer, a singer, and an actor, and she has also produced music videos and short films.
