Indian Consulate in New York hosts “Student Meet and Greet” session

More than 200 Indian students from 20 universities around the US, participated in the April 12, 2024, ‘Student Meet and Greet session’ hosted by the Indian Consulate in New York.

The hybrid event included a panel discussion with distinguished experts NYU Stern School of Business Dean Professor Raghu Sundaram, Dharti Desai of TiE New York, Samir Gupta, attorney Anil Jethmalani, and Sai Vichare of NYU.

The discussion was moderated by Prakash Shukla and it deliberated on issues concerning Indian students, career opportunities, support and resources for them, legal and immigration guidance and mentoring.

Prof. Sonia Sachdey, chair of Psychology at Pace University, shared insights on mental health and ways to manage stress for students.

There was active participation also by Indian Students Associations from Harvard, Columbia, NYU, Princeton, Yale, Brown, Penn State and other universities, the Indian Consulate said in its posting on X @IndiainNewYork.

The Consulate said it “will continue its strong engagements with Indian students and is there for any support that they need.”
