OFBJP holds “Modi Ka Parivar” March at Times Square, other cities

OFBJP volunteers, led by Dr. Adapa Prasad, president of OFBJP-USA, held a “Modi Ka Parivar” event at iconic Times Square in New York city on Sunday, April 14, 2024.

Hundreds of supporters of India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi gathered to demonstrate their solidarity, affirming their relationship with the Modi Parivar (family) and sending a message that the Modi Parivar spans the globe, a press release from OFBJP-USA said. Supporters held up flags, banners, and placards with slogans declaring their support.

Prasad praised the efforts of OFBJP volunteers, emphasizing the importance of standing together in support of Prime Minister Modi’s vision for a prosperous and inclusive India.

Leading volunteer Krishna Reddy is quoted saying, “It’s heartening to witness so many people coming together to support our beloved Prime Minister. This gathering truly demonstrates the strength and unity of the Modi Parivar.”

General Secretary of OFBJP-USA Dr. Vasudev Patel, thanked community leaders and volunteers for expressing solidarity.

Community leader Charan Singh noted the level of support from the NRI community. Prominent leader Kalpana Shukla described Modi as a “savior for the world, tirelessly working for the betterment of people in India and around the globe,” the press release said.

The event was attended by supporters from New Jersey, all boroughs of New York, and Connecticut, organizers said.

Other prominent community leaders and volunteers including  Amar Goswamy, Gunjan Mishra, Jayesh Patel, Sivadasan Nair, Jayasree Nair, Madhukar Reddy, Pranav Patel, Nilima Madan, Anand Gupta, and many others joined the march.

Similar marches were held in Detroit, Michigan, Chicago, Illinois, and Hollywood, California. In each place, more than a hundred OFBJP supporters carried flags and shouted slogans in support of Modi, and local community leaders made speeches.
