Chicago retreat to explore Vedas and Ayurveda for health, relationships, and success

President of International University of Vedic Wellness Santosh Kumar, in collaboration with renowned experts, announced an upcoming retreat aimed at integrating India’s timeless wisdom of Vedas and Ayurveda into modern Western lifestyles. The event, scheduled for May 10th to 12th, promises to deliver insights and practices for achieving balance and success in various aspects of life, a March 24, 2024, press release from the organization said.

In today’s fast-paced world, the need for holistic well-being is more crucial than ever, organizers believe. Through this retreat, attendees will delve into ancient teachings to enhance physical and mental health, nurture personal relationships, gain valuable insights on raising children in the USA, and discover strategies for building successful businesses, the press release said. Additionally, participants will learn how to align their lives with nature and the planet, fostering harmony and sustainability.

“Our goal is to offer practical guidance rooted in the profound wisdom of Vedas and Ayurveda, tailored to address the challenges of modern living,” Santosh Kumar is quoted saying in the press release. “By bringing these ancient teachings right to our doorstep in Chicago, we aim to empower individuals to lead happier, more fulfilling lives.” she added.

The retreat will feature expert speakers, interactive workshops, and experiential sessions. It will also provide ample opportunities for networking and community building, allowing participants to connect with like-minded individuals and form lasting bonds, organizers believe, helping build a supportive environment for mutual growth and development.

Acharya Prayagraj Hule, founder of Vedanta Sempiternal, and Professor Dr. Abhimanyu Kumar, a distinguished figure in the field of Ayurveda, will be among the speakers at the event.
The International University of Vedic Wellness marks a significant milestone in the promotion and preservation of ancient wisdom, reaffirming Chicago’s position as a hub for holistic education and spiritual growth, according to the organization. Dr. Kumar, inaugurated the University in Greater Chicago on September 9, 2021, in memory of her father, Shambu Dayal Kulshrestha’s 48th death anniversary. Inspired by her parents’ steadfast devotion to Sanatan Dharma and other philanthropic personalities, Dr. Kumar expressed gratitude to Acharya Dr. Dayashankar from Haridwar, India, and Prof Dr. Abhimanyu Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurveda University, Jodphur, India, for their assistance in establishing the Vedic Wellness University.
The VWU’s vision is to try and create a strong intellectual and entrepreneurial platform that could have transformative impact on wellness of individuals at regional, national and global levels through preservation, promotion, propagation of “Sanathana Dharma” (Natural, Ancient & Eternal Order) Enshrined in the “Vedic Literature”
It also aims to create a technology–based innovative global platform for Vedic education and research and provide equal opportunities for all, the press release said.
