5-language release for Samantha’s action-packed thriller Yashoda

The trailer of Samantha’s Yashoda was revealed by some of the biggest names of the film industry, including Varun Dhawan in Hindi, Vijay Deverakonda in Telugu, Dulquer Salmaan in Malayalam, Suriya in Tamil and Rakshit Shetty in Kannada.

Having carved her name pan-India now as a bankable star and remarkable actor with her compelling performance in The Family Man and her stunning cameo in the smash-hit song, O Antava in Pushpa: The Rise—Part 1, Samantha has generated curiosity for her first Hindi theatrical release.

The trailer features Samantha as the surrogate mother Yashoda, unfolding the secrets of a serious medical crime with courage. Apart from the action sequences, there is a romantic track between Unni Mukundan, while Varalaxmi Sarathkumar has negative shades.

Producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad of Sridevi Movies said, “I thank Vijay Deverakonda, Suriya, Rakshit Shetty, Dulquer Salman and Varun Dhawan for launching our trailer. It went instantly viral and is trending on YouTube already. Everyone’s heaping praises on Samantha’s performance, Manisharma’s background music and the concept. Although we revealed the core plot of the story, the audience will be thrilled with the sequences in the theatres. Leaving no stone unturned in the making and promotions, we are releasing this seat-edge thriller worldwide in 5 languages on November 11.”

Shot in Tamil and Telugu, Yashoda is also dubbed in Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam, making it the widest pan-India release for a South-made female-led film.

Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Shatru, Madhurima, Kalpika Ganesh, Divya Sripada, Priyanka Sharma and others played crucial roles, while cinematography is by M. Sukumar for cinematography and editing by Marthand K. Venkatesh. The film is directed by Hari and Harish.
