Visionaries and changemakers meet in Edison, NJ. to discuss strategies for world peace

On Tuesday, August 8, 2023, Parikh Worldwide Media, PWM, hosted a ‘World Peace Summit’ at its ITV Gold Auditorium in Edison, NJ where activists, visionaries, and change-makers came together, to share their dedication to the pursuit of global tranquility.

Among those present was Jain Acharya Lokesh Muni ji, founder of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti, who is involved with building the World Peace Centre in Gurugram, Haryana, near the capital New Delhi.

The meeting was organized under the leadership of Chairman of PWM/ITV Gold, Padma Shri recipient Dr. Sudhir Parikh, a physician, businessman, and lifelong philanthropist, as well as a recipient of several awards. The attendees represented a diverse range of endeavors, and speakers presented inspired discussions that had a global reach.

The first luminary on stage was President of the Global Citizen Forum Kristin Engvig, who has dedicated 26 years to advancing, empowering, and inspiring women.

Engvig talked about her experience working with as well as empowering women across the globe, and the power as well as learnings created from those diverse experiences.

She is credited with playing a pioneering role as the founder of WIN (Women’s International Net), which has given rise to leadership programs and events impacting many lives. She is known was her innovative work in diversity, inclusion, and balanced leadership that has touched the lives of women worldwide, as well as an increasing number of men. Through WIN and the WIN Conference, her influence is said to have extended across continents, including India, Japan, Africa, and the Middle East, where she collaborates with women from diverse professions, providing scholarships and mentorship.

Dr. Parikh, who heads one of the largest Indian American publishing groups in the United States, also shared his insights. The audience was treated with a brief introduction highlighting his achievements. Dr. Parikh spoke about his background on how he started his media organization to contribute and preserve culture for the next generation as well as represent the Indian viewpoint within the western news media.

On behalf of Parikh Worldwide Media, and ITV Gold, Dr. Parikh expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the attendees and thanked all of them for their support, including Engvig, Acharya Lokesh Muni,  as well as Piyush Patel Chairman FISANA,  Anand Sahu spokesperson of Global Citizen Forum, Amar Shah of Life Global USA, Founder Head International Sadguru Foundation – UAE Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swamiji, community leader H.K. Shah, and Anil Monga, CEO, Victory International.

Acharya Dr. Lokesh Muni ji shared his insights and communicated his vision for the World Peace Centre for which the Government of Haryana has allotted land. He also communicated messages for peace and harmony for the broader world community.

A video introduction by the Honorable Piyush Goyal, India’s Minister for Commerce and Industry, was shown before Acharya Lokesh Muni spoke, underscoring the profound impact of his teachings.

Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swamiji

Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swamiji, an eminent spiritual leader and recipient of the prestigious Padma Shri award, is considered a beacon of peace and interfaith harmony. His teachings and leadership have earned him titles such as the “Ambassador of Peace” at the British Parliament and the title of “International Peace Promoter.”

He is also President of Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti in Goa and Patron of Global Yog Alliance. Through the International Sadguru Foundation in the UAE and the Satguru Mahakali Kiran Foundation in Bangkok, Thailand, he is credited with working to foster global fraternity and promote Vedic wisdom and preserve Indian culture.

He shared his insights on how to achieve true inner peace and world harmony.

The summit also showcased the upcoming Indian Culture Mahotsav, as discussed by Pramod Bhagat a community leader, offering a glimpse into the festivities ahead.

The event’s culmination was marked by a vote of thanks by Anil Monga, expressing gratitude to those present and acknowledging their role in making this event possible.

A special appreciation and thanks went to Nitin Vyas of Vegan Vision for catering to the culinary needs of the gathering.
