The non-profit South Asian Engagement Foundation (saef-us.org) announced the launch of three-days of celebrations across lower Manhattan in honor of the Diwali.

Named the All-American Diwali, the event will be a tribute of lights and sounds, a press release from the organization said.

On November 2, 3 and 4, 2021, from dusk until 2 am, the platform of One World Trade Center will be bright with animated imagery portraying the symbolism of Diwali.

Additionally, on Saturday November 3, at Pier D, spectacular fireworks over the Hudson will light up the Jersey City & Lower Manhattan skyline.

Best viewing spots will be from Grundy Park in Jersey City & Rockefeller Park in lower Manhattan.

Organizers are urging everyone to come down to the World Trade Center to view the animated light show and post for your friends with #AllAmericanDiwali.

“Diwali is a festival that inculcates positive energy within every soul. It’s true essence lies in the fact that it cherishes the win of good over evil and from darkness to light,” the press release noted. For more information visit www.AllAmericanDiwali.org

The non-profit SAEF aims at building a strong Indian American brand with a mission to work on projects that will empower and change the conversation around Indian Americans and to lobby for impactful change on how the community is perceived, treated and acknowledged as it assimilates into Americana, the organization says. SAEF’s goal is to establish Indian traditions in the fabric of American culture.
