The anticipation of the fans around the sequel of the Indian blocbuster, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha has been very high since the teaser of Gadar 2 was launched. The reprised version of Udd jaa kaale kava (again sung by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik) has achieved a record number of views and has taken social media by storm and intrigued fans even more.

This song has been re-recorded by the new film’s music team with some add-on lyrics. The original 2001 song was composed by Uttam Singh and written by the late Anand Bakshi.

Adding another element to elate the interest of the fans, the makers of the film have now announced that veteran actor Nana Patekar has lent his voice to Gadar 2. He will be introducing Gadar 2 in his inimitable way at the start of the film. This is Nana Patekar’s first film in six years—he had last made a cameo in Rohit Shetty’s 2017 hit, Golmaal Again.

Produced by Zee Studios and helmed by Anil Sharma, the movie stars Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma and Luv Sinha. The movie is slated to release in cinemas on August 11. It has music by Mithoon and lyrics by Sayeed Quadri.

Five unique voiceovers by stars:

Naseeruddin Shah as the puppet in Paheli (2005)

Karisma Kapoor in a phone sequence for sister Kareena Kapoor in Bodyguard (2011)

Salman Khan as God in Main Tera Hero (2014)

Aamir Khan for the family dog in Dil Dhadakne Do (2015)
