Gandhinagar’s pride Ashaben Pandya felicitated by Udgam Trust observing International Women’s Day

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, 30 women and a man who are famous in their concerned fields and have constantly contributed in women empowerment, were felicitated in the 13th Udgam Women Achievers Awards organized on Sunday, 6th March, 2022 by the renowned Udgam Trust of Gandhinagar. Udgam Trust is efficaciously working on Women and Child Welfare Sector since 12 years and this trust felicitates such great ladies with Udgam Women’s Achiever Award who are pioneer in different sectors. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Udgam Charitable Trust has organized 13th programme named Usha Parv in a row in the remembrance of its trustee Ushaben Dhruvkumar Joshi. 30 women and a man having remarkably worked in various fields such as business, social service, education, health, art, and fashion; are being felicitated with Usha Parv 13 Udgam Women’s Achiever Award. Smt. Ashaben Hiteshbhai Pandya, the former chairman of the indigenous and the nationalist organization – Indian Lions Club and the woman leader of Gandhinagar was awarded with Lifetime Achievement Award.

Smt. Ashaben is leading the indigenous – nationalist service organization – The Indian Lions Club since last 20 years.
At the age of 71 years and as one of the founders of Shree Audichya Gadhiya Brahmsamaj, Gandhinagar, Smt. Ashaben Pandya bound with the mantra of “There is a Will, There is the Way” (Jahaan Chaah Vahaan Raah). She has obtained her B.A. Degree with Economics subject from Bhavans College of Mumbai University. After her marriage with Shree Hiteshbhai Pandya in year 1976, she made herself compatible with husband and begun to reside at Rajkot and then settled in Gandhinagar.
During her habitat at Rajkot, she played vital role to publicize various brands of Saurashtra region through a media consultancy. When we all were unaware about the Event Management, Smt. Ashaben has implemented her creative ideas and successfully completed various colourful programmes and during this period she has contributed in service-culture sector as well. Smt. Ashaben has fulfilled various responsibilities as an active member of Lions Club International and Indian Lions. She carried out her responsibilities as the National Vice Chairperson of the organization – strongly working with indigenous ideology – Indian Lions Club from year 2016 to year 2018. Then, she became the National Chairperson of this organization and successfully performed different responsibilities to organize various programmes.
As a life partner of Shree Hiteshbhai Pandya, Smt. Ashaben has fulfilled her duty as a mentor to her family along with her focus on service sector. Shree Hiteshbhai is working as a PRO to CM and he is President of Samast Audichya Gadhiya Brahmsamaj. During her married life, Smt. Ashaben is currently active in social sector, she is an example for people that a female could pave the path of life not only with the family but in every front.
Along with the awardees, various dignitaries were remained present in the felicitation ceremony organized by the Udgam Trust. Presenting outline of the activities performed by the trust, Dr. Mayur Joshi, Managing Trustee of Udgam Trust said that it is a humble effort to honour and fekucutate the women power endlessly working in respective sectors, having special attempt to move ahead the tradition of Indian culture.
Shree Devusinh Chauhan, Minister of State to Union Government of Communication Ministry and State BJP President Dr. Prashant Korat have graced the ceremony as Chief Guests. Furthermore, Shree Peter Cook, Deputy Commissioner of British High-Commission of Gujarat, Prof. Shree Himanshu Pandya, Vice Chancellor of Gujarat University, Shree N. K. Patel, Renowned Real-Estate Developer, Dr. Nitish Shah, Chairman of the Heart Foundation of India, Shree Chiranjiv Patel of P. C. Snehal Group along with Advocate Hiteshwari Joshi, Trustee-Udgam Trust remained present in this ceremony.
