Friends of Madhya Pradesh- NYNJ celebrates its first holiday gala

Friends of Madhya Pradesh, who live in New York and New Jersey, (FriendsofMPNYNJ) celebrated the organization’s first holiday gala Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, at the Rasoi3 in South Brunswick, NJ.

It was a very good turnout from the diaspora of Madhya Pradesh and included leaders of different community organizations, a press release said.

Families excitedly took selfies in the backdrop of holiday themes such as a Santa in full gear. And the spread of snacks and appetizers followed by a sumptuous dinner, was enjoyed by those present.

Songs and dances by community members and performers of all ages, a live DJ, games, etc. made it a vibrant and joyful gathering.

TV Anchor Jyotsna Sharma emceed the event in her signature style, and the evening filled with interaction among attendees, warmth, laughter and smile. All the attendees left with holiday goodies, courtesy MP Tourism/Friends of MP.

Friends of MP (FoMP) is a volunteer group led by Jitendra Muchhal who started the group in 2015. It has now grown in its size with over 500 Families, and activities, he sai. They annually organise Holi, Sports Day, and a Summer Picnic. Now a Holiday Gala has been added to the repertoire.

FoMP community felicitated Juned Qazi (Council President),  Pragya Singh (Counsel – Visa, Indian Consulate), community leaders Sunil Nayak, Sanjeev Singh, Anurag Kumar, Paresh Birla, Rakesh Agarwal, Aditi Maheshwari and Akshay Chaturvedi, president ICICI Bank (USA), for being valuable Friends of MP. The Group conveyed its best wishes and support to the newly installed government in Madhya Pradesh state.

The Volunteer team began work on the Gala a few months ago. Those involved in the work of organizing it included  Amit-Amrita Mishra, Akhilesh-Nisha Laddha, Shaman-Pooja Jain, Sanjay-Yogita Modi, Anand- Anju Rai, Kapil – Trishala Samadhiya, Manoj – Varsha Kulseja, Sarthak Pathak, Ashish Vivayvargiya and Nikhil Sharma.
