A successful educational seminar on “Financial Planning for Retirement,” was held at the end of February in Clifton, NJ arranged for Indo American Seniors Association of Clifton.

Held at Param Health Care & IT Services in Clifton, the seminar was well- attended by IASA members, and led by IASA President Bharat Rana, who welcomed everyone with the Ganesh Stuti prayer.

Financial Consultant Kanan Sarveiya of Primerica, distributed a folder with information on financial benefits. She covered topics under Roth IRA, pension planning, annuity funds, 401K plan, term Insurance products, estate planning and other investments accounts.

Sarveiya urged seniors to do their own financial needs analysis, make sure they are properly protected, and advised them on how to get out of debt and become financially independent.

A Question-and-Answer session followed and the seminar lasted for more than two hours.

Overall, the seminar was very successful, organizers said. Rana announced that another seminar is lined up on the topic of Medicare, Medicaid and Taxation.

Rana thanked to Sarveiya and Vipul Amin for providing the venue, and Yogesh Trivedi, and Arun Bhatia for initiating the seminar, as well as Jayesh Gandhi for posting on Facebook Live drawing more than 3,200 viewers.
