At UN, Acharya Lokeshmuni of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti urges end to violence on women, children

At an international meeting held October 10, 2023, at the United Nations in New York, on the theme of ‘The World is One”, Jain Acharya Lokeshmuni raised the issue of barbaric treatment of innocent children and women and said that this should be stopped immediately. His remarks come as the Israel-Hamas conflict which began on Oct. 7, continues raging.

Appealing to the United Nations, he told the global representatives participating in the, Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam International Conference organized by India’s Permanent Mission and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, that everyone should together appeal for peace to protect the innocent people, a press release from Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti said.

While presenting his views he said, “Violence and terrorism are not justified, criminals should be punished, but barbaric acts against innocent children and women, who have committed no crime, should be stopped. We all should come together. There should be an appeal for peace to protect innocent people.”
