Art drive at newly launched Indian Asian unit at A. Holly Patterson

As the demographics of New York and Long Island begin to mold into a much greater ethnically diverse population than ever anticipated, the need to address this aging population has become of great importance. A. Holly Patterson Extended Care Facility has answered this call by introducing a first time ever a special wing dedicated solely as an Indian Asian unit. Ms. Jinna Kim, President of Loving Care Health Management passioned this project with A. Holly Patterson 17 years ago with the introduction of Korean Division.

Already successfully operating for several months now, the Director of this Indian Asian unit, Ms. Brahashitha Gupta & team have made the launch more public in recent weeks. Starting with a beautiful community driven art drive where residents as far as Rhode Island, New Jersey & Upstate NY painted and drew personal art reflective of the Indian Asian culture came together to adorn the halls of this new Indian-Asian unit.

On July 31, a formal presentation was conducted for the opening of this first ever dedicated Indian-Asian unit. A by-invitation type of even included Nassau University Medical Center Board of Trustees members Dr. Bobby Kalotee, Administrator of A. Holly Patterson Mr. Anthony Aiello, President of Loving Care Management Ms. Jinna Kim, other distinguished guests, community leaders and live singing performances. Art Drive Participants, Community outreach messengers & high school volunteers were honored with certificates and recognitions. The launch of this unit was very well received by all that attended and all seemed quite impressed and were pleased to know and care about the Unit to cater the growing needs of the Asian population.
