This film “marks a new chapter in the studio’s illustrious journey of crafting compelling stories for a global audience”, as per a press release from NH Studioz. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, known for A Wednesday!, Special 26, Baby, M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, and the web series, Special Ops.

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha! is more than just a film; it’s a culmination of our passion for creating narratives that not only entertain but also resonate on a deeper level,” says Shreyans Hirawat, director, NH Studioz. “Under the masterful direction of Neeraj Pandey, this film embodies our philosophy of pushing the boundaries of conventional cinema and offering something truly unique to our audience.”

With a storied history of producing and distributing a diverse range of cinematic experiences, from the critically-acclaimed movies to commercial breakthroughs, NH Studioz’s latest production, marks the sixth big-screen experience of Neeraj Pandey, whose last film, Aiyaary, remains his only commercial flop, though it was acclaimed as a brilliant espionage drama.

Auron…! was first announced in February 2023, and has music by Oscar-winning composer M.M. Kreem (as M.M. Keeravani is known in Hindi cinema). It is produced by Shital Bhatia of Friday FilmWorks, Narendra Hirawat and Kumar Mangat Pathak of Panorama Studios.

The film is a unique musical love story with an epic romantic drama spanning across 20 years between 2002 and 2023, and will be a multi-language release. Shot extensively in Mumbai, the film also features a stellar ensemble of Jimmy Shergill, Saiee Manjrekar and Shantanu Maheshwari.

Ajay and Tabu, great friends in real life since the time they first co-starred in Vijaypath (1994), incidentally Tabu’s breakthrough film, have since co-starred in a variety of films, not always romantically. Haqeeqat, Thakshak, Drishyam, Golmaal Again, De De Pyaar De, Drishyam 2, Bholaa and Fitoor, in which they shared no frame, with Ajay also producing and directing Bholaa.
