Taj Aravali Resort & Spa, Udaipur’s landmark resort nestled amidst the Aravalis, unveiled India’s tallest Christmas Tree on December 18, setting a national record this festive season.

Speaking on the historic occasion, general manager Praydhumna Singh said, “For over five years, the Taj Aravali Resort & Spa has been synonymous with unforgettable celebrations, memorable vacations and exquisite soirées. Continuing our tradition of curating unforgettable moments, we are delighted to have successfully created and unveiled India’s tallest Christmas Tree at our iconic resort.”

The glittering ceremony to celebrate this also saw the Who’s Who from across the country in gracious attendance. Bipasha Basu and husband Karan Singh Grover, princess Nivritti Kumari Mewar of Udaipur, Ashok S. Rathore, Area Director – Operations, Rajasthan, Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), Parvinder Bual, Cluster General Manager, Operations & General Manager, Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur among others graced the occasion.

With a colossal height of 111 feet, the tree has been painstakingly crafted by an in-house team of close to 50 associates at the resort. From ideation and design to execution and creation, the entire process took 25 days, The mammoth tree has been made using 700 kilograms of iron material, 540 bamboo sticks, 350 woven mats, 2000 meters of wire, 1500 meters of muslin cloth and 1400 LED wired lights among other equipment.

After the festive season, the fabric used for the tree shall be repurposed and blankets shall be created and donated to the underprivileged as a part of the resort’s community initiative under the philosophy of Paathya.
