Choreographer Sandip Soparrkar has been recognized for his contribution to his profession as well as society. After being awarded by the Indian government and getting crowned with the title, ‘King of Art4Peace’ internationally, the choreographer has now bagged the Nelson Mandela Noble Peace award this year for completing 15 years of his worldwide initiative, ‘Dance for a Cause.

Sandip had started the initiative in the year 2008 in association with Parmeshwar Godrej. His initiatives for bringing change to society have always been the most talked-about as ways to raise awareness for causes like AIDS, Organ Donation, Cancer Care, Acid Attack and many other grave issues. Sandip leaves no stone unturned for bringing change in society by using his profession to convey his message.

He has created an impact not just in India but globally through his work, especially for bringing Ballroom and Latin American dance culture to India.
