Pradeep B. Shukla appointed Vice Chair, Global Alliances Advisory Board, National Association of Realtors

Indian-American Pradeep B Shukla, was recently appointed Vice Chair of Global Alliances Advisory Board of National Association of Realtors (NAR).

The NAR is one of the biggest trade associations in the U.S. representing more than 1.5 million members. The institution is more than 100 years old and is a supervisory body of more than 1,600 local realtor boards and associations, a press release from Shukla said.

Shukla is the first person of Indian origin appointed to this position, the press release said.

In real estate practice for more than 20 years, Shukla is a Certified Public Accountant, and past President of Main Street Organization of Realtors (the largest real estate board in Illinois). He has also served on the boards of National Association of Realtors and Illinois Realtors.

At national and local levels, he has served, and is serving, on various committees including the Federal Taxation Committee, Global Business and Alliances Committee at national level and on Audit and Finance Committee, Global and commercial committees at State and local levels.

He also serves as a Board member of MRED, LLC – a multiple listing service with more than 45,000 members from the real estate industry. In personal business, he is a practicing CPA and is also Managing Broker of REMAX Renaissance at Des Plaines, Illinois.

Shukla is among those responsible for forming and promoting ASARP- Association of South Asian Real Estate Professionals- a non-for-profit organization that aims at promoting a high degree of professionalism and ethics among members.

The National Association of Realtors has affiliates in more than 80 countries for promoting bilateral business and  enhancing ethics and professionalism in various parts of the world where real estate regulations are in a nascent stage.

Shukla has been representing NAR as a Global Ambassador to India for the past three years.
