Carrom passionate people across North America have been waiting for this announcement from Northeast United States Carrom Association (NEUSCA) about the upcoming Carrom Tournament, Summer 2022.(tournaments.uscarrom.org)

The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 10 through Sunday, September 11, 2022, at E Hotel Banquet & Conference Center, 3050 Woodbridge Avenue, Edison, New Jersey, a press release from organizers said.

The organizers also announced that come October, the Carrom World Cup will be held in Malaysia and U.S..

“Players representing us, will be participating in this NEUSCA Summer event, added incentive for Carrom lovers and a great opportunity for players as a warmup event before the World Cup,” the organizers maintained, adding, “It’s going to be practically houseful, as we already have 80 players registered for the event, players coming from all over North America to play in the Singles and Doubles event.”

All matches will be played on Synco Platinum Board with Synco Premia Coins.

The tournament format will include Singles and Doubles – Swiss League Round Robin followed by Knock Outs. Complete details of the format, Schedule and other activities is available for viewing in the United States Carrom Website.

The event will kick off with a welcome speech by its President Abul Shakeel Baig. He will be supported by Roshan Mushin (Vice president), Arshad Shaik (Secretary ), and Ajay Arora (Treasurer ). Roshan Mushin will be the director for this event.

The 5th in-person tournament has been organized under the leadership of President Abul Shakeel Baig, since the formation of NEUSCA in 2016.

Also, the current tournament is the second tournament being organized under the newly formed core team after the NEUSCA was formally registered as a non-profit organization with the state of New Jersey.

The Summer, 2022 NEUSCA Carrom Tournament is open for players of all genders and varied carrom experience – novice, amateurs, experts, and the professionals – across North America. One of the goals is to promote new talent as well as improve the quality of the game by appealing to both the experts and professionals.

The Summer, 2022 NEUSCA Carrom Tournament has two different events (common singles and common doubles) spread over two days of carrom carnival with attractive trophies and cash prizes –totaling upwards of $3,500. The registration fee is $70 (per player/per event).

Organizers are offering 10% flat discount on registration fees for those who are participating for the very first time in the tournaments organized by NEUSCA, its parent body USCA (United States Carrom Association) and/or their affiliated carrom associations around the US.

The Summer, 2022 NEUSCA Carrom Tournament will have “Singles” format to be conducted on the first day and every player irrespective of their ranking after SRR rounds will have a fair chance to enter and perform in Knockouts.

“We expect many outstation players to be arriving from as far as Canada and SFO, and few driving all the way from the Carolinas,” organizers said in the press release.

Food for all players and administrators will be served on all days, they added.

The highlight of this event is that no player will be knocked out of the event after Swiss Round Robin league, and all will proceed to the knockouts, they said.
