The much-awaited and much-discussed film, OMG2 has finally received its censor certificate.

The revising committee of the Central Board for Certification of Films (CBFC), which had earlier seen the film, had recommended a few cuts and modifications in the film.

According to the production company, after much deliberation with the makers, the film has now been passed without any deletions. “There are no cuts in the film; only a few modifications, which the makers discussed with the censor board members,” a production source said in a media release.

This comes as a huge victory to the makers, who had been battling with the censors for over two weeks now. The film has received an “Adults Only” certification.

Reveals the source, “For a U / A certificate, the committee was asking for a lot of cuts. The makers didn’t want to compromise with the sanctity of the film. So they chose to go with an Adults certification and keep the integrity of the film intact and also adhering to and respecting the norms of the censor board.”

Now that the censor certificate is in hand, the film’s makers are starting their aggressive marketing campaign. OMG2, a sequel to OMG—Oh My God! (2012) will release on August 11 as scheduled.
