Raashii Khanna, who is all set to make her OTT debut with Rudra: The Edge of Darkness, co-starring Ajay Devgn, has expressed gratitude for the phenomenal response for her web debut’s trailer. She is currently shooting for her Telugu venture, Thank You, with Naga Chaitanya in Moscow, from where she has sent this message to the media and her fans.

Talking about her web debut, in which she is playing an intriguing girl with colored, short hair, Raashii says, “Rudra… is a dream project for me, not only because I am making my digital debut with the show, but also because I have been bestowed (!!) with the opportunity to work with a celebrated actor like Ajay Devgn. The premise and concept of the show is dark and gritty, which is not a very easy genre. And especially for me, it has been extremely challenging. As an actor, it has been an extremely enriching and rewarding experience to be a part of the show. The response to the trailer has been really overwhelming and I can’t wait for the audience to watch the entire show.”

Raashii has been marking her presence all over the South as well with a stream of projects lined up. She made her acting debut in a supporting role with Shoojit Sircar’s Hindi film Madras Cafe (2013) and subsequently made her debut as a female lead in Telugu with Oohalu Gusagusalade (2014), in Malayalam with Villain (2017) and in Tamil with Imaikkaa Nodigal (2018).

Having established herself as one of the leading actresses in Telugu and Tamil cinema, she has also started her career as a playback singer with the film Joru (2014). She has sung under composers like S. Thaman and Manisarma and has won five awards so far as an actress.

As of January 2022, Raashii is currently shooting for her Telugu film Pakka Commercial opposite Gopichand and the Tamil films Methavi opposite Jiiva and Thiruchitrambalam starring Dhanush.  Raashii has also signed another Tamil film, Sardar, starring Karthi and is doing an untitled and Hindi web series directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K., which stars Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi.

She has making her Hindi lead debut in Yodha starring Sidharth Malhotra and Disha Patani, which is produced by Karan Johar.
