This Christmas season, the International Assembly of God based in Warren, Michigan, held carol services visiting 45 families in in the area recently, bringing festive melodies to their doorsteps, and share the message of Jesus.  It was during a Christmas program organized at the church on December 16.

The carol services saw some 50 volunteers going door to door, and was one of several programs held under the leadership of Pastor Charles Chandy who expressed his enthusiasm about the outreach initiative.

“Christmas is a time of sharing about the true meaning of Christmas—the birth of Jesus Christ and the hope He brings to our lives. This hope and joy was the fuel that warmed the hearts of the volunteers during the cold winter to sacrifice their time and energy,” Pastor Chandy is quoted saying in the press release.

The church members engaged with the families they visited during the carols and those who visited the church for the Christmas program. Each household received a warm greeting, a festive carol, and a brief but powerful message about the importance of Christmas. In addition to the musical performances and messages, the church distributed small tokens of goodwill, such as Christmas cards and small gifts, to further spread joy and love, the press release said.

The carol services and the Christmas program initiatives were meant to highlight the importance of community outreach during the holiday season.

“In a world often filled with hustle and bustle, such efforts serve as a reminder of the true meaning of Christmas and the significance of coming together to celebrate love, hope, and joy,” organizers said.
