Indian Embassy’s Minister of Community Affairs meets Indian American community leaders in New Jersey

The Indian Embassy in Washington, D.C., is keen to let the community know it is there for them to help solve any legitimate problems they may face now and in the future.

Minister for Community and Personnel Jag Mohan met with several business persons and other leaders of the Indian American community and assured them that the diplomatic missions of India were ready and available to deal with issues they may face.

“The Indian Embassy is with you. Whatever your bona fide problems, please reach out to us and we will do whatever we can,” said Jag Mohan, Minister for Community and Personnel at the Indian Embassy, speaking at the Meet and Greet event hosted by Parikh Worldwide Media/ITV Gold, at Mithas restaurant in Edison, N.J. August 2, 2023.

“And together, we will march ahead, and let’s continue the good work we have been doing,” Jag Mohan said.

Minister Mohan was accompanied by India’s First Secretary Jigar Pradipkumar Raval, in charge of Income Tax Overseas Unit, Energy, Climate, and Economic.

Minister Mohan was introduced to attendees by Dr. Sudhir Parikh, chairman of Parikh Wordwide Media and ITV Gold.

The event began with an introduction to Dr. Parikh’s life journey as a leading allergist and immunologist who had worked over four decades for the community and his philanthropic involvement with various organizations, as well as his efforts to strengthen US-India relations. His numerous awards were also mentioned.

Dr. Sudha Parikh presented bouquets to both Minister Mohan and First Secretary Raval as the meeting began.

Several of the business persons present introduced themselves and hoped have follow-up meetings with the Minister, and praised Dr. Parikh for inviting the special guests and arranging the meeting.

Minister Mohan also thanked Dr. Parikh for arranging the meeting at short notice and the opportunity to meet individuals representing diverse interests. Businessmen present at the meeting represented interests ranging from property investors, cinema hall owners, founders of arts and culture organization, etc.
