Indian-American seniors celebrate Indian Republic Day with patriotic songs

Federation of Indian American Seniors Association of North America (FISANA) celebrated Indian republic day in their ‘MAVTAR NI MAHEK’, a patriotic tribute program, which was broadcasted to over 2000 senior members on YouTube, and Facebook on Jan. 26, according to a press release by the organization.

The audience enjoyed Indian Patriotic cultural and Bollywood songs.

FISANA Chairman Dipak Shah, President Ratilal Patel and General Secretory Vishnu Patel discussed with the audience the days of sacrifice and struggle put up by India’s freedom fighters.

The event hoped to inspire the younger generation with patriotic songs, said the release.

The two-hour celebration included performances by singers, Priyanka Basu, Mukhtar Shah, Sani Shah, Gautamkumar, Nilesh Vyas and Parishi Verma. Vishnu Patel of Sruhadam Entertainment organized the event.

FISANA is a non-profit organization established with an aim to serve Indian- American seniors. Located in Middlesex County it manages 20 other senior associations of New Jersey.
