Kader Sakkaria of Naperville, Illinois is running for a seat on the Indian Prairie School District (IPSD) 204 Board. The election will be held on April 6, 2021. With practical corporate and higher education experience, he promises to create a vision for schoolchildren’s bright futures.

According to a press release, Sakkaria said that the fast-changing career opportunities, educational landscape, emerging technologies, the covid-19 pandemic impact on mental health, and attention to special needs require fresh perspectives and innovative intervention strategies in order to ensure that school education continues to be in accordance with the demands of the contemporary challenges.

His priorities include helping the District 204 School Board to adapt, grow, and thrive in the domain of education in general and school education in particular.

“Ensuring safe and bullying-free environment for students, addressing class size and class crowding, promoting smart funding and zoning decisions, helping District 204 build technology infrastructure for high-quality learning, both in the classroom and online, collaborating with multiple organizations for Covid-19 vaccination and student/teacher health and safety, and empowering students with the tools for success in the rapidly- changing scenario would be the steps in the right directions”, stated Sakkaria in the press release.

A resident of Naperville for over 25 years, Sakkaria is the husband of a substitute teacher in district 204 and has three kids.

Sakkaria currently serves as the chief digital and technology officer at Ruffalo Noel Levitz, LLC that helps universities encourage more students to enroll for higher education. He earned his master’s in computer science from the University of Madras (India) and MBA in Global Management from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University (IL).
