The Indo-American Arts Council of New York City is hosting its annual benefit gala, Renaissance Weekend November 18-19. The Literary Festival which is an integral part of the event, will feature more than 60 renowned Indian authors from around the world, as well as other influencers, and luminaries. The event will be held at the Conrad New York Downtown.

“Rub elbows with Pulitzer Prize winners and New York Times bestsellers at the largest gathering of celebrated global Indian talent in North America,” the IAAC announced in a press release October 26, 2023. “Hear inspiring ideas, enjoy illuminating discussions, and make personal connections that will stay with you for a lifetime.”

The weekend culminates with the Annual Gala on November 19, highlighted by a farewell for “Chief Patron” as IAAC described him, India’s Consul General Randhir Jaiswal, before he ends his tenure in NYC to start his new post in India. Businessman and writer Jose Thomas will be honored as the 2023 IAAC honoree.

India’s legendary Queen of Pop, Usha Uthup, recipient of the Padma Shri, will entertain the gathering.
