The trailer of the Netflix series, Guns & Gulaabs, clearly shows that it is based in the 1990s. And if you look at Gulshan Devaiah with slightly long hair in it, he has an uncanny resemblance to someone well-known at that time. Yes, Gulshan’s getup is inspired from Sanjay Dutt’s mullet hair look then!

The series is set in the ’90s and the Sanjay Dutt craze was at its peak during that time. Many people had started adapting his hairstyle, and the team thought that there was no better way to capture the decade than with that look. It was actually Gulshan himself who suggested this idea, and he has made it seem very natural, according to a source from the production team.

Guns & Gulaabs is a comedy crime thriller that is created and directed by Raj & DK. Rajkummar Rao, Dulquer Salmaan, Adarsh Gourav and TJ Bhanu are in the lead roles.

Gulshan is currently in London shooting for Ulajh, which also stars Jahnvi Kapoor and Rohan Mathew. Based on the Indian Foreign Service, the film is directed by National award-winning director, Sudhanshu Saria. The actor is on a high after his recent acclaim for Dahaad and 8 A.M. Metro.
