The trailer of R. Balki’s Ghoomer starring Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher is out now, and the film follows on August 18.

The trailer offers audiences a glimpse into a world of emotions, inspiration and transformative storytelling. Starring Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher, Ghoomer is set to redefine the landscape of sports films in India, according to the filmmakers.

Abhishek Bachchan portrays the character of a coach, whose life takes an unexpected turn when he crosses paths with a paraplegic sportsperson, played by Saiyami Kher. Their journey together unfolds against societal challenges and personal struggles, a show aided by director R. Balki’s distinctive storytelling

Moments of heartache, determination and hope—R. Balki’s signature style seamlessly weaves their narratives, inviting viewers to embark on a journey that challenges preconceived notions. R. Balki is known for his acclaimed works such as Cheeni Kum, Paa, Ki & Ka and Pad Man. This film also marks the director’s first film without any song. Amit Trivedi composes the background score.

Ghoomer has Shabana Azmi and Angad Bedi in pivotal roles and marks Amitabh Bachchan’s debut as a commentator. The movie also marks the debut of Shivendra Singh and Invaka Das. It is produced by Balki’s Hope Productions and the Bachchans’ home banner of Saraswati Entertainment.
