Gandhian Society and Save Indian Farmers join forces for musical fundraiser

The non-profit organizations, Gandhian Society and Save Indian Farmers, held a musical fundraiser on Saturday, December 2, 2023, to raise resources for humanitarian work in India.

The event, held at the Neelkamal Hall in Royal Albert’s Palace, was a resounding success, organizers said in a press release, noting that more than 200 people attended and volunteers were recognized.

“The musical fundraiser proved to be a remarkable success, generating significant funds to support humanitarian initiatives in India,” organizers said, adding that it also served as a platform to recognize the selfless efforts of volunteers and showcase the transformative power of music in uniting communities and fostering a spirit of giving.

The evening commenced with a speech by Dr. Sudhir Parikh, Chairman of ITV Gold, who emphasized the significance of selfless service and presented plaques to the volunteers in appreciation of their unwavering commitment.

Edison Township Councilmen Ajay Patil and Nishith Patel, and Woodbridge Township Councilman Viru Patel, also joined in acknowledging the volunteers’ contributions.

Representatives from both organizations, including Bhadra Butala, Dr. Deepak Naran, Tejoo Bambulkar, and Preshit Dalal, took the stage to shed light on the humanitarian endeavors undertaken by their respective organizations.

Talented musicians of the Kalavant Center entertained the audience with their renditions.

The Gandhian Society is dedicated to promoting Gandhian principles of peace, nonviolence, and social justice, and also carries out educational programs, community outreach initiatives, and advocacy for social change.

Save Indian Farmers is a non-profit organization committed to supporting the well-being and livelihoods of Indian farmers, helping to provide them access to resources, training, and market opportunities to enhance their agricultural practices and improve their economic conditions.
