Gadar 2 sets another record—for fastest Rs. 450 crore net

Gadar 2’s box-office dominance remains an awe-inspiring spectacle. A remarkable Rs. 16.10 crore net collection on its third Sunday underscores the film’s gripping appeal, captivating not only cities and metros but also the heart of the mass audience, showcasing an astounding growth surge of nearly 20 percent.

As the net total skyrockets to an impressive Rs. 456.05 crore by third Saturday, the film achieves an unparalleled milestone by racing to the Rs. 450 crore mark faster than any other.

Gadar 2 has truly rewritten the rules of success. Earlier, the film had an excellent second week. It surpassed all but Bahubali 2— The Conclusion (2017) to score the second-biggest second week of all time in the Hindi language. So technically, it also leads in cinema made in Hindi!

The sequel minted Rs. 134.47 crore, while Bahubali 2 remains the highest second-week grosser movie with Rs. 143.25 crore. Aamir Khan’s Dangal takes a fairly distant third biggest spot with around Rs. 116 crore.

Helmed by director-producer Anil Sharma, and co-produced by Zee Studios, the movie stars Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in lead roles along with Utkarsh Sharma. Simratt Kaur and Manish Wadhwa head the rest of the cast.

Meanwhile, co-release OMG2 has withstood this typhoon and has collected Rs. 126. 42 crore by third Saturday. August indeed seems a memorable month for Hindi cinema.
