Foundation for Indian Americans meets Latvia’s President in Boston

The Boston-based Foundation for Indian Americans (FIA-New England) executive delegation met with the 11th President of Latvia, Edgars Rinkēvičs, the former Prime Minister and current Foreign Affairs Minister Arturs Krišjānis Kariņš, and U.S. Ambassador Christopher Robinson during Spotlight Latvia 2023 at the Westin Hotel in Boston, Sept. 22, 2023, alongside their Latvian-American friends. This meeting was led by President of FIA-New England Abhishek Singh.

The delegation presented a set of flags representing the USA, Latvia, and India, along with the spiritual book, the Bhagavad Gita to the Latvian President, a press release from FIA-New England said.

President Rinkēvičs shared his experiences of meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and praised his hard work and leadership on the global stage.

The President of FIA-NE expressed the belief that such meetings would strengthen cross-cultural relations among the diaspora of both countries. He extended the Latvian delegation an invitation to the Boston India-International Parade in 2024.

Sandeep Asija, a prominent businessman, expressed the potential growth opportunities in trade, commerce, and tourism among all three countries.

The FIA-NE executive team, led by Anand Sharma, Ankit Loonia, Nikunj Doshi, and Ankit Loonia, facilitated the meeting with the Latvian delegation.
