Food, music, traditional dresses highlight of Gujarati Samaj Diwali in New York

Gujarati Samaj of New York organized their Diwali get together at the Gujarati Samaj Hall in Queens, New York, September 29th evening. Attended by more than 700 members and their guests, the event was graced by the presence of New York City’s Mayor Eric Adams, Deputy Commissioner Dilip Chauhan and New York Senator John Liu, who were welcomed with  flower garlands and shawls.

Notable community leaders and past presidents were also present, including current President Harshad Patel, Daxa Patel, Program Manager Divyesh Tripathi, Ami Tripathi, Past President Raman Patel, Dr. Bhupi Patel , H.K.Shah and many dignitaries. The program was emceed by  Dr. Sheetal Desai who highlighted the 50-years of community work of Gujarati Samaj including health camps, cultural programs and activities. The event also had cultural and musical program  and dinner.
