The Governor of Maharashtra, Ramesh Bais, released a Dev Anand Centenary Coffee-Table book under the aegis of the Dev Anand Centenary Celebrations Committee led by one of his close associates, industry doyen and philanthropist Dr. Vijay Kalantri. Kalantri is President of All-India Association of Industries and the Chairman of MVIRDC World Trade Center, Mumbai.

This precious collection of rare pictures and memories passionately curated by the close associates of the late actor, was released on November 17 in the presence of Anup Jalota and Dev’s protégé, actor Chaitanya Choudhry.

This collection of memories and achievements of Dev Anand in multiple decades will be a valuable gift to millions of his fans, who remember his memorable work as actor, writer, producer and director, and above all, recall him as an excellent human being. He also mentored many stars like Zeenat Aman, Tina Munim, Jackie Shroff and Tabu and other talents.

Dr. Vijay Kalantri, who was a close associate of Dev Anand since 1972, said, “This collection of memories of Dev-saab, which includes rare pictures shot at actual shooting sites and on the sets  of his films, was curated with love and reverence by experts who worked with me to pay rich tribute to the legendary hero. Dev-saab’s huge contribution to Indian Cinema in many ways still inspires many young aspiring artistes, technicians and millions of fans.”
