The latest news on the front of this high-voltage forthcoming actioner is that it will include a re-creation of the super-hit number Makhna, written by Sameer and composed by Viju Shah for Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda in the 1998 action comedy of that name—Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.

Produced by Vashu Bhagnani, one of the producers of the older film, along with Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh and Himanshu Kishan Mehra for Pooja Entertainment, the film is written, directed and co-produced by Ali Abbas Zafar for AAZ Films. The team is just back from an extensive overseas shooting.

It is now set to release on Eid 2024 and co-stars Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. Taking to this news on his Instagram, Akshay Kumar shared new BTS images and posters from the much-awaited film and wrote, “See you in the theatres on Eid 2024.”

The film also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chhillar and Alaya F. Vishal-Sheykhar score music apart from this re-creation.

Though the story, characters and setup are totally different, director Ali refers to it as a sequel in which he must match the original, which incidentally, was an average runner only in its year of release. This time, the action and VFX team are from overseas, as their aim is “world-class action and entertainment.”
