Sahil Mehta, who made his mark in the web space with his roles in Made in Heaven, Guilty and Tabbar, has his hands full. He co-starred with Janhvi Kapoor in the recent Good Luck Jerry and stars with Akshay Kumar in Raksha Bandhan, releasing on August 11.

Sahil is climbing the ladder of success because of his hard work and dedication. On his character in Good Luck Jerry, Sahil says, “Working on my role wasn’t very tough, but it was really challenging since I had to completely change who I was in real life. However, I had a lot of pleasure exploring this character. With each and every time role, you get to discover a new aspect of yourself. It was a great experience to portray Jigar, and I want to thank my director, Siddharth Sengupta-sir for helping me and pushing me to step beyond of my comfort zone for my character.”

On his bond with Janhvi, Sahil says, “Janhvi Kapoor is a beautiful soul. She soothed my anxiety, was really kind and wonderful, and gradually we became good friends. She exuded positivity and created a new energy wherever she came to the sets. Not only that, but she is an absolute ball of energy, and she has a ton of talent and expertise. I recall that during the filming of Good Luck Jerry, I taught the game of Bluff to Janhvi. I would love to work with her again sometime. “

On people loving and appreciating his character, Sahil adds, “The character of Jigar completely wowed me during the audition, and it required a lot of work to get there. As a teenage boy with a foot in the world of drugs and crime, I have received admiration from audiences all around the world, besides critics, for my performance. Overwhelming response, just gratitude is all I can say right now.”

He goes on, “I am getting messages, emails, and calls from people all around me stating they enjoyed watching me on screen and that they enjoyed my persona. I am flattered that people think very highly of my work because I have changed from playing an intense part all the time to this comical one. Likewise, the response I receive inspire me to go above and more above for all my admirers.”
