The first poster of Aamir Khan Productions’ Sitaare Zameen Par is here!

This highly-anticipated cinematic release of Sitaren Zameen Par, “a celebration of love, laughter and happiness” as its media release goes, arrives in theatres worldwide on 20^th June.

A sequel in spirit to the 2007 Aamir Khan superhit Taare Zameen Par, Sitaare Zameen Par has kept audiences excited ever since its announcement. Now, the first official poster of the film has been unveiled, along with the announcement of its release date.

The newly-released poster, featuring Aamir Khan alongside ten debutant actors, hints at a refreshing tale. With Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan Productions introduces ten promising new talents: Aaroush Datta, Gopi Krishna, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra and Simran Mangeshkar. The first look has sparked excitement, offering a glimpse of a film that radiates love, laughter and happiness in equal measure.

As Aamir told the media during his birthday celebrations in March, “Taare Zameen Par made you all cry. This one will make you laugh! And I am not the teacher here, but a kind of antagonist.”

Audiences will also witness Aamir Khan’s eagerly-awaited return to the big screen, opposite Genelia Deshmukh, herself doing a Hindi film after two years.

The film is directed by R. S. Prasanna, known for Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. He had also produced and directed On a Quest, a biopic on Swami Chinmayananda Saraswathi, the visionary teacher who inspired the formation of the Chinmaya Mission, a global spiritual organization dedicated to the Vedanta philosophy of self-realization, spiritual wisdom and inner liberation.

Sitaare Zameen Par has lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya, with music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, with a screenplay penned by Divy Nidhi Sharma. It is produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit.
