The pandemic down-time and popularity of social media has shown us that everyone has a hidden talent to share!

Child Rights and You (CRY) America invites U.S. based singers, dancers and musicians ages 6 and up to showcase their talents in its annual “CRY Superstar” virtual competition. Registration for the event opened on Saturday, June 18 and continues until July 17.

CRY America is a nonprofit organization that supports Projects in India and the U.S. that ensures education and healthcare for underprivileged children, as well as protection from child labor, early marriage and trafficking.

Contestants may register online at https://events.cryamerica.org/events/crysuperstar2022/. Choose your age category: “Rising Star” (ages 6-11), “Rock Star” (ages 12-17) and “Shining Star” (ages 18 and above) and submit a video of your performance. Parental consent is required for entrants under 18.

Performances will be posted on crysuperstar.org, where family and friends can “like” and vote on the entry. After an initial judging round by prominent talent judges in the U.S., Bollywood Celebrity Judges Aishwarya Majumdar (Bollywood vocalist and 2008 winner of STAR Voice of India) and Karthik Priyadarshan (Assistant Choreographer for award-winning Bollywood dance team Kings United) will decide on the CRY Superstar winners and runners-up in each category.

An Early-Bird Registration special of $25 runs from June 18 – 25. All proceeds will benefit CRY America & the underprivileged children it serves.

Contestants and fans can view performance videos of last year’s champions and runners-up at crysuperstar.org.
