Paresh Rawal, Pan Nalin’s The Last Film Show win at 3rd Vadilal International Gujarati Film Festival

The grand award and closing ceremony of the Vadilal International Gujarati Film festival (IGFF)’s third edition concluded with Pan Nalin’s The Last Film Show winning the Best Film award. The festival was held from May 20 to May 22. Veteran Paresh Rawal was honored as the IGFF Icon of the year.

The 3-day festival witnessed attendance by the Who’s Who of Atlanta, the Gujarati community and Gujarati film fraternity as it was a cinematic cultural festival supported by Gujarat Tourism. The closing ceremony was hosted by IGFF 2022 chairman, Dr. Naresh Parikh and founder Kaushal Acharya. Renowned filmmaker and IGFF Festival Director, Umesh Shukla, Gopi Desai, Festival Jury Member and Jay Vasavada along with other celebrities like Ishani Dave, Pooja Zaveri, Chetan Dhanani, Devaki, filmmaker Niraj Joshi and Pan Nalin were present.

The winners list is as follows:

IGFF Icon of the year – Paresh Rawal

Best Film – The Last Film Show (Chhello Show) directed by Pan Nalin

Best Film Jury Mention – Kothi 1947 & 21 mu Tiffin (two winners)

Best Children Film – Gandhi & co.

Best Documentary Film – Okhamandal – Ek Anokhu Andolan

Best Short Film – Parnetarr (from the novel Saurastra ni Rasdhar)

Best Web series – Vitthal Teedi (On OHO Platform)

Best Web Series Jury Mention – Yamraaj Calling (on Shemaroo)
