Kadva Patidar Cultural Association Hosts Diwali Dinner And Garba

The Kadva Patidar Cultural Association, KPCA, hosted a Diwali dinner and Garba dance event Oct. 23, 2021, at the Umiya Dham Hindu Temple in Edison, N.J.

According to organizers, nearly a thousand people attended the event, which means a capacity crowd for a temple originally built for 500, as Mahindra Patel, the main co-organizer told ITV Gold.
Attendees including children and adults of all ages, dressed in Indian traditional finery, enjoyed the garba dance accompanied by entertainers performing on stage.
Awards were given to delighted children for Best Dress, Best Dance etc. Dinner was served by the Temple.
Harshad Patel of KPCA said it was great to have everyone in person after the months of Covid. He also thanked Dr. Sudhir Parikh of Parikh Worldwide Media and ITV Gold, as well as other media, for their support.
Dr. Parikh congratulated the leaders of KPCA, and the team that build the beautiful temple, wishing everyone a Happy Navratri and Happy Diwali.
Prayers were performed en masse in which the whole audience engaged to the reciting of Om Jaye Jagadeesh Hare bhajan.
