Jhund trailer raises expectations as film releases Mar. 4

Amitabh Bachchan’s Jhund (A crowd), directed by Nagraj Popatrao Manjule, has raised the expectations of audiences ever since its teaser was launched. The trailer, launched February 23, gives a special glimpse into the universe of the notorious squad and their vital journey. This interesting tale will arrive in cinemas on March 4.

Sharing thoughts on the film, producer Bhushan Kumar says, “This is a fascinating yet powerful story. It is an interesting content brought to life by Nagraj Manjule and will have Mr. Amitabh Bachchan giving his powerful performance. It is a story worth watching and enjoying with your friends and family on the big screen. The music by Ajay-Atul is among the best takeaway and will surely be considered among the best albums of today.”

Director Nagraj Manjule, best known for Sairaat, the Marathi box-office hit in 2016, says, “It’s an immense joy to share the trailer and make the audiences part of our journey, andwe are certain that this story will inspire a large number of viewers. Moreover, we are thrilled to see Mr. Amitabh Bachchan essaying the role of a football coach. It was an astonishing experience to work with the legendary actor. Jhund showcases how sport can be a medium to change the existence of children living in the slums.”

The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Savita Raj Hiremath, Raaj Hiremath, Nagraj Popatrao Manjule, Gargee Kulkarni, Meenu Aroraa and Sandeep Singh under the banners of T-Series, Tandav Films Entertainment & Aatpat. It’s a Zee Studios worldwide release. Amitabh Bhattacharya and Ajay-Atul write lyrics and Nagraj Manjule has written the film as well.

The biographical sports film is based on the life of Vijay Barse, the founder of NGO Slum Soccer, and stars Akash Thosar and Rinku Rajguru with Vicky Kadian and Ganesh Deshmukh.
