Indian vegan, vegetarian food startup hosts exclusive dinner in New York

The Cumin Club, a Chicago-based food startup, celebrated 3 years in business with an dinner in Brooklyn, New York, for South Asian influencers to showcase its recipes.

Launched in 2019, The Cumin Club offers vegan and vegetarian dishes from all over India from classic Indian street food like Pav Bhaji to comforting bowls of Pongal and Bisibelebath.

Describing its cuisine as “authentic, regionally-diverse Indian meals made in five-minutes” the price points start at just $4.99/meal, a press release from the company said. The company boasts a repertoire of more than 30 dishes and growing.

“… the demand for its meal kits has skyrocketed over the past year,” the company said.

The Big Apple event was held at The Overlook with a scenic New York City as the backdrop.  The evening was curated by Neerja Public Relations and Brown Girl Magazine with Shivaani Anns performing as the musical guest.

Harish Visweswaran, co-founder of The Cumin Club said the response at the “intimate” dinner was “overwhelmingly positive.”

Ragoth Bala, co-founder of The Cumin Club, said the “chef-crafted meals are made from high-quality spices sourced from different regions of India,  and that we have an all-natural label with no added artificial preservatives.”
