Hundreds of Chicagoland seniors celebrate incoming 2025

Chicago’s popular singer Kosha Pandya entertained the seniors’ gathering Dec. 31, 2024, with old and new Bollywood songs. ALL PHOTOS: Jayanti Oza.

More than 1,500 people participated in the celebration of a happy 2025 on December 31, 2024, at Rana Regan Center in Carol Stream, near Chicago. It was hosted by the community organization Bharatiya Senior Citizens of Chicago.

A networking reception jump-started the event after President of BSC Hari Patel welcomed all the seniors and invited guests. Snacks like Pani Puri, Bhajiya, Samosa chaat, Soda drinks, and a bar were available to attendees, according to one of the attendees, Jayanti Oza.

The dinner menu included typical Indian cuisine with butter naan, veggie paneer kadhai, dum aloo, dal Makhani, Jeera rice, salad, papad, pickle, ras malai, rabdi malai, Vadilal’s ice cream, and fresh Paan.

A live music program began at 8:30 pm. Entertainment was provided by Kosha Pandya who sang new and old Bollywood songs. During the program, special GO GO dancers, BELLY dancers, and digital lightened brought people to their feet.

At the stroke of midnight, people greeted and congratulated each other and balloons were released.
