Led by multiple CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, alumni and faculty, the new initiative aims to foster in students emotional intelligence, soft skills, leadership skills and will offer an expertise in making and strengthening connections, working towards excellence.

The belief that happiness is not a luxury—it’s a core competency for those that want to be in charge of their lives — both personally and professionally, forms the foundation of the Happiness Health Hub (the Hub hereafter) to be launched in Fall 2025.

The Hub will comprise of multiple components, all of which will allow participants to learn cutting-edge tools and strategies to create a more purposeful, values-driven life, full of long-lasting enjoyment and satisfaction. Students and other members of Pace will be able to take advantage of it.

The initiative is structured as a series of interconnected components. A semester-long experiential course, open to all undergraduate students, will help participants explore foundational ideas and apply them to their everyday lives through actionable insights.

At the same time, thought leaders and experts from fields such as positive psychology, neuroscience, philosophy, and social science will speak regularly on campus, bringing timely ideas and transformative research to the forefront of the Pace Community.

Supplementing these efforts, “PaceEd Talks”—short, applied talks modeled after the popular TED format—will focus on emotional intelligence in action. And through outreach efforts, the Happiness Health Hub will extend its impact beyond the University, partnering with local high schools to deliver workshops and presentations on resilience and emotional well-being.

All of these efforts are expected to work toward a shared goal: helping students and the wider Pace Community explore the many definitions of happiness, understand how factors such as genetics, economics, and social dynamics shape our emotional lives, and learn how to harness the power of science, psychology, and community to create deeper joy.
