“Oak Brook stands at a pivotal moment in its growth and development. I firmly believe that through open dialogue, mutual respect, and shared values, we can continue to shape a village we’re all proud to call home,” he said.

He assured Mayor Larry Herman of his cooperation in governing Oak Brook. “Elections may divide us, but governance must unite us.”

During his campaign, Reddy said he had reached out to more than a thousand residents and that he would continue to listen and serve all.  He praised those who ran alongside him for their work improving Oak Brook. “Together, we bring a range of experience and perspectives to our roles. I am genuinely excited to collaborate with Jim and Melissa over the next four years to make Oak Brook an even better place to live, work, and raise our families.”

He congratulated the newly elected members of the School Board Resham Mendi, Craig Donnelly, Kavitha Neerukonda, and Kaarina Lebrun and the Park District Board Tina Chan.

Hyderabad-born Reddy dwelt on his upbringing and history of bringing opposing parties to the table, and on the many positions he held through his career as a physician.

“Now that I call Oak Brook my home, I would like to contribute and serve my community by participating in public service,” Dr. Reddy added, and called upon residents of Oak Brook to come together and “celebrate the rich diversity of our community—our backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs. … Let us build bridges, not walls. The campaign has ended; now the real work begins.”
