Columbia Business School hosts 18th India Business Conference

The South Asia Business Association organized the 18th India Business Conference March 25, 2023, a full-day event presented by the State Bank of India, New York, held at the Columbia Business School.

The theme of the conference was “Rewiring India For The Future: Driving Resilient Growth.”

More than 25 speakers addressed attendees during the course of the day. Among them were – Nikesh Arora, chairman and CEO, Palo Alto Networks; Editor-in-Chief of Vanity Fair Magazine Radhika Jones; KV Subramanian, executive director, IMF, and Ex-Chief Economic Advisor to Govt of India; Vivek Pandit, senior partner and Global Co-Lead of Private Equity Practice, McKinsey & Co., according to the program circulated prior to the event.

Several of the attendees spoke to ITV Gold praising the speakers as well as discussions that took place during the conference. The Federation of Indian Associations of the tristate area were partners with the organizers of the conference.

President of FIA tristate, Kenny Desai told ITV Gold it was a “House Full” event, adding, “It is so impressive that India is growing and is a global leader, and hopefully will become a global superpower.” Desai thanked Parikh Worldwide Media chairman Dr. Sudhir Parikh who is also a senior advisor to FIA, for the media coverage of the event.

Karthikeya Kumar, co-chair of the conference said the event was back after a 3-year hiatus and that apart from the impressive lineup of private industry speakers, the Government of India represents were also present.

Organizers noted that this was an in-person event held after a long time, and experts from the fields of Media, Entertainment, Venture Capital, and government were there to address the Indian economy and its place in the global environment.
