BJP leader meets Indian-American community in New Jersey for day-long celebrations

Kailash Vijayvargiya, a Madhya Pradesh politician and National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party, met with Indian-Americans in Edison, New Jersey Aug. 13, 2022, during the Teej Sinjara celebrations of the Maheshwari community.

Vijayvargiya said he was very touched by the ethnic attire and culture imbibed by all, and enthralled by the soulful singing. The cultural program was followed by a Flag Hoisting in Dogwood Meadows community.

The evening finale was at Royal Albert’s Palace in Fords, N.J., where he met with members of Friends of MP (FMP) from New York and New Jersey. He spoke in glowing terms of the Azadi kaa Amrti Mahotsav and great years ahead for India.

“The FMP fraternity was so moved by his personal touch, remembering most people by names and their MP (Madhya Pradesh) Connection,” the organization said in a press release. Vijayvargiya joined the crowd in jubilant patriotic songs and conveyed his good wishes on the occasion of India’s 75th Independence Day.
