Art Mudra Mumbai brings Indian Artists to Art Expo New York 2025

Artist and Curator, Daxa Khandwala, is in New York once again with her team of artists who will showcase their artworks at the Art Expo New York 2025 from April 3 to April 6, 2025 at Pierre 36, 299 South Street, Manhattan 10002.

Khandwala’s Art Mudra, Mumbai, has been organizing exhibitions and promoting contemporary art and artists from various different countries. Khandwala travels personally to different countries to bring together a talented group of artists waiting to get exposure. According to Khandwala, this year, Art Mudra’s fourth year at Art Expo NY, the artworks put together by her will offer fresh perspectives and innovative techniques.

This year, the artists traveling to New York with Art Mudra will include sixteen artists from different cities of India and six international artists. Some of the Indian artists have been traveling with Art Mudra for the past four years.

Artists who will showcase their works at the Expo are Debjani Datt, Pooja Bhansali, Ram Awasthi, Reema Sablok, Shweta Rane and Vandana Mehta, all from Mumbai.

Bharati Shah and Gopi Shah from Ahmedabad are also part of this year’s Expo.

From Kolkata will come Nikita Agarwal and Richa Dalmia.

Also included in the group are Anu Bhalla from Hyderabad;  Anuradha Jangid from Jammu & Kashmir; Khushboo Gupta from Delhi; Mamta Malhotra from Varanasi; Shivanand Shyagoti; and Sinal Bajaj from Chhattisgarh.

The international artists with artwork curated by Khandwala will include Ishani Prachchhak from Pennsylvania and  Pratiksha Saxena from New Jersey.  Jaya Gupta and Priyanka Bhandari from Singapore, Yuvika Garg from Dubai, and Michael Owino from Denmark will also showcase their artwork under Art Mudra.

 Participating in the Art Expo New York for the fourth consecutive year, Art Mudra has been receiving a lot of attention and appreciation of art lovers from all over the world. Art Mudra expects even bigger and better reception this year with the evolving artworks of the artists it is presenting this year.

Founded by Daxa Khandwala, Art Mudra, Mumbai, offers a platform to established and upcoming artists to showcase their work at art events in Asia, US, UK and the Middle East. Khandwala herself is a distinguished artist, curator, and a gallerist with over thirty years of experience in the art industry and she aims through Art Mudra to connect artists with international audiences.

With a strong emphasis on Indian art, Art Mudra’s philosophy has been that of making art affordable to everyone. It strives to make exceptional art more accessible.

Art Expo New York has been running from 1978 and is the world’s largest fine art trade show by The Redwood Media Group. Held every year in April, the Expo showcases artists, galleries, collectors and art lovers, presenting more than 200 exhibits of paintings, sculptures, photographs, ceramics, prints and more. Visitors can purchase artworks and engage with artists, watch them create or just walk around the exhibits.

Art Expo New York 2025 will also present the inaugural Redwood Art Prize to four winners for artworks participating under this year’s theme ‘Boundless’.
