Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan gave a superb performance of three different and unique acts spread over three hours as part of his ongoing world tour ‘Me, Myself and I’, at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ, on October 12, 2019.
Khan, along-with a talented team of over 30 musicians and technicians, delivered soulful Bollywood songs, some classic pieces of music by Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and ended the night with Qawwalis, according to a press release.
The show was brought to the US and Canada by national promoter Karl Kalra of Live2U. The show was conceptualized by Salman Ahmed who is also Khan’s Manager. The local show in Atlantic City, NJ was promoted and managed by Amit Jaitly of Sai USA Inc. and Atique Sheikh.
The show encompassed some of the best production elements that have been witnessed in a live Bollywood show in the United States. State of the art lighting, sound and LED screens were orchestrated to create a magical effect with Khan on stage, said the release.
B J Singh of EventEQ, the production company that provided the lights, sounds and LED for the show said, in a statement, “The level of attention to detail by the artist and their team is highly commendable, we rarely see promoters and artist willing to go that extra mile to provide audiences with quality effects for a show. This show exemplified their commitment to only giving the best visual experience for an artist of this caliber.”

Sachin Shah who manages the production of all shows for Sai USA Inc. worked to ensure that all I’s were dotted and T’s were crossed from the backstage production perspective, the release said.
The Meet and Greet post-show was attended by over 150 people who got a chance to get a picture with the legend followed by dinner.

The show started with anchor Bharat Gadhavi on stage introducing the legend and Salman Ahmed.
Khan cast a spell on the audience with his singing. He ensured that his best compositions were rendered and also took requests from the audience. There were two breaks in the three-segment show where the set was changed to match the act. The qawwali segment received a huge applause from the crowd.
