The South Asian Republican Coalition (SARC) held an auspicious Hindu religious ceremony known as a ‘Homatmak Laghu Rudra’ at the Dwarkadhish Temple in Parlin, NJ, which was a petition to God for President Donald Trump, honoring his birthday, seeking divine blessings for him and to get reelected as America’s President in 2020, on June 23, 2019.
The five-hour ritual with 11 Hindu priests, headed by Nayan Pathak and 15 worshipers, began at 1 pm and concluded at 6 pm, followed by fireworks and dinner for all attendees with multiple TV channels covering the ceremony which will be submitted to the Guinness Book of World Records, according to a press release.
This historical and first of its kind ceremony, done for the first time ever on American soil and worldwide for a US President, shows the deep roots and support President Trump has created within the South Asian community, said the release.
Hundreds of American Hindus gathered at the temple with many attendees joining from outside of the state, including prominent businessmen, doctors, and politicians. American flags were waving across the crowd and with a singing of the American National Anthem.
Hemant Bhatt, Founder and Chairman of SARC, welcomed the gathering and explained the mission, goals and objectives of SARC. He narrated the achievements and accomplishments of President Trump and appealed to work hard to get Trump reelected in 2020.
He took the opportunity to thank Pankaj Sheth and Jai Prakash Sheth, Trustees of Dwarkadhis Temple, for their great support to organize this event successfully. He also thanked GDB International, Patel Brothers, Arista Care, Skyvision events and others who helped financially to support the event. He thanked Pinakin Pathak and Sridhar Chillra, both Co-founders and Vice Chairmen of SARC for their dedication.
Senator Sam Thompson congratulated Bhatt and his team at SARC for putting up the event for Trump and promised all help for the cause of SARC. Lucille Pannos, Chairwoman of Middlesex County Republican organization, acknowledged the work done by President Trump and appealed to vote for Republican candidates running for office in November 2019 and in 2020. Hirsh Singh who is running for US Senate outlined the strategy for new voter registrations and assured SARC to help it in his best capacity.
The event concluded by cutting a birthday cake to celebrate Trump’s birthday to wish him a very long life and excellent health.
