The Pennsylvania State Senate has reportedly been providing a yoga and meditation room for its legislators and legislative staff in the Harrisburg Capitol.

Hindu statesman Rajan Zed welcomed the Pennsylvania Senate and urged the 49 other state legislatures of the country to work towards formally placing a yoga room in state capitols.

Zed mentioned that yoga was introduced and nourished by Hinduism and it has become a world heritage and liberation powerhouse that is to be utilized by all.

“Yoga is the most popular complementary health approach in the United States – used by 14.3% of the adult population, or 35.2 million people,” according to a recent report of U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Pennsylvania and other capitols should also offer yoga classes twice-a-week, Zed added.
